Miley Cyrus, along with rocker, Joan Jett, jammed to some of the legendary singer's greatest hits, consisting of, “Bad Reputation", “Cherry Bomb", and “I Hate Myself ", today on the Oprah Winfrey show. Miley has been known to perform to a medley of her idol's songs in many of her concerts, and seemed overwhelmingly happy singing along live with Jett. “It’s amazing", Miley said of performing with Joan. “I auditioned for my show with ‘I Love Rock & Roll’ and the first album I ever made, I had ‘I Love Rock & Roll,’ so it’s something that’s always meant something to me, just seeing Joan stand up for chicks who want to play the guitar. It’s something that’s always inspired me. I’m happy I could be here with her. It means a lot to be here". Before winding up the show, Oprah asked Miley about her feelings about transitioning from child star, "Hannah Montana", to an adult musician and Miley had this to say, “It’s not about how far I can push things so people will believe I’m not Hannah Montana anymore. You just make the music that you love,” she said. “Because I’m growing up, so does my music. It’s not about trying to make a statement about growing up. You just do.” Well, that whole “Can’t Be Tamed” era sure looked like a “statement about growing up". If you did not watch this memorable show, watch the video below. It's classic rock and simply AMAZING!
